Today we have this post about those cities which are highly polluted in this world. This contains a list of those ten countries which are suffering from poor sanitary conditions, unfavorable environment, untreated sewage, unhygienic food and water etc. Following list below describes the poor conditions of those 10 cities which are highly polluted.

10). Lagos-Nigeria:

This is the largest city is Nigeria and it is the capital of the commercial industry. The smoke everywhere in this city is the biggest problem for the central business area of this country. 12 million citizens of this city located in Africa are facing a huge problem of air pollution.

9). Karachi-Pakistan:

This city is attributed to the major and industrial city of Pakistan but on the other-hand, Karachi is envisioned as the disease-causing city of Pakistan because of its unbearable air and noise pollution. 35% population of Karachi is being suffered by many diseases due the pollution.

8). Dhaka-Bangladesh:

Dhaka is facing the biggest problem of water pollution with continuous panic. The water is full with disease and pollutants due to which the people of Dhaka are facing many problems. Also, the 8 million population of this city are facing air pollution problem as well.

7). Mexico City-Mexico:

This city which was known as the world’s cleanest city has gone to one of those cities which are the most polluted cities in this world. The intolerable atmosphere conditions due to continuous smoke from snow-crowned volcanoes have caused the difficulty for the Mexicans to breath peacefully.

6). New Delhi-India:

The major problem of this city is water pollution. Garbage everywhere and untreated sewage system is creating water diseases which are extremely high in rate. Waste has become the major reason for the increase of hospitals in this city and even the private hospitals or small clinics do not have sufficient arrangements for the diseases born to be cured in Delhi.

5). Mumbai-India:

This is another city in India facing a big problem of air pollution. This is one of the most polluted cities in the world where you can see piles of garbage everywhere. It is also known as the busiest city of India. Certain places in Mumbai are so much stinky that one will never want to visit there due to garbage in almost every street of Mumbai.

4). Baghdad-Iraq:

This city is in a big problem due to ongoing war and terror. Several bomb blasts and certain havocs have enhanced the air pollution problem in the city. Threatening poor water quality is the basic problem of this city which creates so many even incurable diseases to be born.

3). Brunei-Darussalam:

This is a small city but full with natural gas and petroleum resources. The air quality although seems to be very clean but in fact, it is not. The air pollution is also present in the atmosphere. The pollution from vehicles reveals this fact that the atmosphere is not free from the diseases contained in the pollution of air.

2). Moscow-Russia:

It is the capital of Russia and it is the busiest city where an individual has to pay $3,000 from a three bedroom apartment even though the water is not clean at all in this city. So the city is facing water pollution a lot. Moreover, air pollution is also a major issue of Moscow. As there are no proper arrangements for the disposal of garbage, many inhabitants are suffering from Cholera.

1). Maputo-Mozambique:

The city which is polluted the most among all is Maputo in Mozambique. It is the largest and capital of Mozambique. Air pollution as well as water pollution is the problem of this city. Poor sanitation system, lack of solid waste disposal as well as untreated sewage system is the rising problem due to which this city is being untidy even more day by day. This town is half under water due to the in-ignorable circumstances.

    You discussed several cities but what about China. China now creates more pollution than any other nation. As many as 400,000 die each year due to air pollution, not counting water or soil pollution.

    China’s large cities certainly have pollution problems, but not polluted enough to enter the top ten list. Shanghai, for example, is far cleaner than New Delhi and Mumbai. Beijing is more polluted than SH, but still does not qualify to beat the top ten above.
