@kenya: My dear friend the thing is that if you have a just one seat and there are two people who truly deserve to be on that very seat, then you have to choose one out of them. you cant give that seat to two of them, as this cannot be done simply. Similarly, i had to include just 10 terrorist incidents, and not all of them. I ought to had ignore some and include some. i am truly sorry for the loss of the lives in the East-African bombings as we all human beings are equal. No hard feelings friend !

@Umar: its not like that as your thinking it to be umar. Okay let me tell you friend. it is just a matter of one’s own judgement. There is no doubt that I mentioned Pakistan here and that is because currently, this state is under a fiasco as regards to terrorism and life as a whole is miserable for the people. But at the same time “worst terrorist” attacks takes into account numerous factors after getting a place in the top 10 list. These factors are number of death or injuries, magnitude of destruction, sensitivity of that particular place or situation (as bomb blast in a common house and an embassy is not one and the same thing).

This was my judgement ! People are waiting for yours. Go ahead and share out your feelings here if you think there are other incidents people should know about and which i surely missed due to some inherent limitations in writing an article. Same goes for Pakistan man, I truly regret and feel sorry for all the lives lost in terrorist attacks in Pakistan. Especially, the recent PNS Mehran incident…May God bless Pak army with the courage and valor to outsmart its nemesis and be victorious !

It’s very interesting that the number one attack in this list was against the U.S. When actually they created the biggest terrorist attack in history when they bombed japan and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people including women and kids, in which some disapproved of Japan’s actions.

John Adams. That is just about the DUMBEST thing that I have ever heard. Yes, we did drop the A-bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, but think of all the lives that it has SAVED!!! If we would’ve invaded Japan, we would be calling it genocide! The entire population of Japan was convinced that we were a bunch of murderers and rapist and all sorts of stuff, because that’s what their g’ment told them! Think about that.

Although it was an act of war there were so many other factors then saving lives. That was a factor, one of many, although the importance of each is debated there is a lot of evidence that is was not one of the largest deciding factors. A desire for Russia not to enter the fray and thus not receive large grants of lands as war spoils was a big factor. Yay APUSH.

Actually while the legality of those attacks is subject to much debate (they are unlikely to adhere to principles of modern humanitairn law), they nevertheless constitute military force occurring as part of an armed conflict. If they were found to have violated the rules of IHL they would constitue war crimes as opposed to a standard crime like terrorism.
