2. India
India was able to redeem their cotton agriculture back, despite of the downfall that it did experience in the 18th and 19th century, during the establishment of the colonial rule. They are producing cotton yarns and raw cottons. With 27.0 million bales recorded in 2011, the second spot is their clear rank following China.
1. People’s Republic of China
It is the biggest producer in the world with its 26% of production against India that just garnered 22%. This year, it has produced 33.0 million bales. Although according to history, cotton was introduced in China 2000 years ago, wherein production of it was established and encouraged by the government while offering subsidies and procurement funds.

I wished Urva had simply googled the data to get the exact ranking where the top three cotton producing countries China, Pakistan and India are not even mentioned in this list. The list is based on simply idiotic knowledge.
