Not to rain on your parade or anything but…..Weather Jesus and Virgin Mary ever walked this Earth is a debatable topic. Sure there’s the bible, and other sacred books that would state that they were real….but there’s really not any solid evidence, no documentation. And who ever wrote this probably didn’t want to get people who weren’t religious to jump in saying (“Hey Those People Aren’t Real! Might As Well Put Sheldon Cooper In There As Well, I Doubt He’s Gotten Laid!!”)…..And I’m not against religion in any shape for or way…I’m just stating what I think should be said.

Jesus married Mary Magdalene… and the story goes that he came back from death and ascended so I think you’re at least double-mistaken about him dying a virgin. I’m reasonably convinced he had kids… What makes you think the lord of all creation wouldn’t relish the chance to have sex when taking human form? Where do you think you come from?

I find it rather annoying that people (non-Americans) like to call Americans stupid, yet go on to make mistakes in something as simple as grammar. There is no such thing as sheeps, only sheep!

I hope we have a list of ‘virgins by choice’ some day… and by choice I mean, heterosexual and not committed to chastity owing to some bondage. Newton’s probably the only true virgin in here. Surprised by the absence of Swami Vivekanada myself too, as mentioned by a bloke above.

Right? I would have probably put Nietzsche on the list too (in no small part due to the fact that I love the guy), especially because he did it purely as a matter of personal preference, not due to any religious or even moral belief.

Umm…the Virgin Queen thing is not true. Pretty much every reputable scholar argues against the theory that Elizabeth was a virgin; therefore, if you’re wrong in this instance, it’s safe to assume that you’re probably wrong in the others.

this whole thing is more than a bit absurd, really… J Edgar Hoover? The transvestite? What are your basic assumptions about virginity? Do you think it makes a person more innocent and less accountable for their actions? Is it all about whether or not you’ve been penetrated, or does it mean more than that? Should we all aspire to be virgins and dutifully follow the evolutionary path of Panda bears?
