• This particular watch has a tough build quality and is not very expensive either; the sapphire is anti-reflective meaning better visibility in direct sunlight; the luminous hands can help you read the time in complete darkness for a short while; water resistant and the rubber strap is not irritating and it also tells you the date and time.

CONS

• Very simple and minimal and looks and design; not a big fan of the crown.

VALUE FOR MONEY

When it comes to the value for money, I would give this watch a 7.5 on 10. If I am paying that much money for a watch, I would expect it to be a little stylish instead of being very plain and simple. It comes with the typical features of every above average watch, but with that money I would rather it be a little more elegant.

9. MOMENTUM MEN’S 1M-CD72S3 LUGANO ROSE-TONE BROWN ALLIGATOR LEATHER WATCH ($995.00)

I am not a big fan of how they name the watches with the serial numbers and all. Anyway, the Momentum Men’s 1M-CD72S3 functions without a battery. The mechanics are powered with the movement of your hands so it saves you the hassle of changing the battery. The case is really elegant with a diameter of only 42mm. The case is actually 18k gold and the steel is of course stainless. The dial is made of copper and it shows you the date too. The Momentum Men’s 1M-CD72S3 is water resistant up to fifty meters but  don’t really think that you will take this watch for a swim anyway because of its highly formal looks. It’s almost as wearing a tuxedo and going for a dip.

PROS

• The watch functions without a battery and uses the movements of your arms to keep it powered up; the gold; the copper and the stainless steel all combine to give it a very elegant and graceful look; it is water resistant and is a formal wear and finally the overall look of the watch is very classy.

CONS

• Even though this company might not be very famous for with a lot of people but this particular watch is flawless.

VALUE FOR MONEY

I would give this watch a 9 on 10 when it comes to the value for money. The only reason I am taking one point off is not because it has something less to offer than the other watches out there but the fact that the price could have been cheaper. It’s not a lot for the watch but still. The build is pretty strong and it gives a highly formal look. The brown strap compliments the overall look of the beautiful watch and I could not be more delighted to have it in the list.

8. VICTORINOX SWISS ARMY MEN’S 241188 AIRBOSS MACH VI CHRONO WATCH ($970.00)

I hadn’t really heard of this company before actually getting this watch for a review. The Victronix Swiss Army 241188 is truly one of the best watches to buy under $1,000. It offers everything any expensive watch has to offer and it doesn’t look all that bad either. It has a chronograph with dials for 12 hours, 30 minutes and 60 seconds. It comes with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal with a beautiful dial that has a diameter of 45 mm. The Victronix Swiss Army 241188 is water resistant up to 100 meters and has a power reserve of 46 hours. It also has a tachymeter scale, I mean what more could you possibly ask for?

PROS

• It comes with a full chronometer; the tachymeter scale (I have never used these functions in my current watch); luminous hands; beautiful black dial; it is water resistant; the sapphire crystal is anti-reflective; the price is very cheap and the watch is simply beautiful.

CONS

• The watch functions perfectly and it has many high-end features with a minimal price. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this thing.

VALUE FOR MONEY

This is the first watch in this list that has earned a complete ten on ten in my opinion when it comes to the value for money. If you read the earlier list of most desirable watches and compare those to this one, it offers all the features they do but this one apart from the awesome looks is also very light on your pocket. If you don’t have a huge budget and you are looking for all the high-end features, this is the perfect watch for you. It literally has everything a watch could offer. Enjoy!

7. HAMILON MEN’S H24615331 VENTURA XXL ELVIS ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION BLACK FIXED GUNMETAL PVD WATCH ($953.00)

The first watch from the Hamilton in this list of best watches to buy under $1,000 is the men’s H24615331. This is pretty much a very unique design with a triangular case that you don’t really see all that often at least not one that looks superb in every possible way. Of course, that might just be my opinion and yours might differ but I think majority will agree with me here. If you are looking to get your hands on this one you might want to hurry up because only one piece is left in stock as of right now. The Hamilton H24615331 has automatic movement and a gorgeous black design. It comes with a pin buckle and a stainless steel case. This particular watch is water resistant up to  fifty meters. The sapphire used is anti-reflective and by now I am pretty sure you know what that means. It is also luminous and it looks fantastic when it glows in the dark and by that I mean marks at twelve, four and eight and the needles.

PROS

• The luminous hands; the design of this watch is very unique and catchy; automatic movement; anti-reflective sapphire; scratch resistant stainless steel case; strap does not irritate your skin unless you’re allergic.

CONS

• You might find it a little difficult to get used to the time on this watch because the design is triangular and the markers are at 12, 4 and 8 instead of the usual 12, 3, 6 and 9 and the fact that not a lot of it is left in the stock.

VALUE FOR MONEY

Even though it does not come with a long list of features, I would give it an eight on ten when it comes to the value of money for the reason that the design is very innovative and hardly any triangular watch looks good but this one is fantastic to boot. The functionality of this watch is perfect. The only problem is that only one is left so if you are considering to buy this one, just stop thinking and do it right now. Only one is left.

6. TAG HEUER MEN’S CAH1112.BA0850 FORMULA 1 CHRONOGRAPH WATCH ($ 945.00)

There are a total of four watches by TAG Heuer in this list and the first one to be discussed is the men’s CAH1112.BA0850. It functions on Swiss Quartz movement and has a scratch-resistant crystal. The hands and markers are luminous offering better visibility in the dark. The case is stainless steel with a diameter of only 41 mm. Moreover the TAG Heuer Men’s CAH1112.BA0850 comes with chronograph functions and it also shows you the date. There is also a tachymeter as you can see. The watch is water-resistant up to 200 meters (the highest in this list). The overall looks of the watch are not that awesome though.

PROS

• Chronograph functions (twelve hour, thirty minutes and sixty seconds); tachymeter dial; date; luminous markers and hands for better visibility in the dark; stainless steel case; water resistant.

CONS

• In my opinion the watch doesn’t look all that great or expensive per say. The build quality is strong but I don’t know what it is about the overall aesthetics that the watch does not look all that authentic.

VALUE FOR MONEY

For the reasons mentioned in the cons section, I would give this watch an eight on ten. The watch otherwise works perfectly and offers pretty much all the functions you could look for in sporty watch. The problem with this is one is though that it looks cheap to me but that could be my opinion. Obviously, if you are a TAG Heuer fan, you will love this anyway. There is nothing functionally wrong with the watch so if you are considering to buy this watch, by all means, go for it.

5. HAMILTON MEN’S H32616133 JAZZMASTER CHRONOGRAPH WATCH ($926.90)

The Hamilon Men’s H32616133 is a gorgeous piece of equipment. This is one of those watches that gets your attention immediately. Anyway, the Hamilon Men’s H32616133 has an automatic movement and comes with a synthetic sapphire crystal. The case is beautiful with a diameter of 42 mm. The steel used is stainless and it is water resistant up to a hundred meters. The watch looks stunning and is perfectly suited for both casual and formal wear. The metal strap is fantastic. This watch too comes with a chronometer and it also shows you the date. Therefore, this watch for many of these reasons is one of the more awesome watches to buy under $1,000.

PROS

• This watch has  a chronometer with three different dials; 12 hours, 30 minutes and 60 seconds; shows you the date; the sapphire crystal is durable; the build quality is fantastic; water resistant; automatic; works with both formal and casual look; looks stunning and is incredibly reasonable when it comes to pricing.

CONS

• There are no customer complaints about this product and neither did I find a flaw with it. It works perfectly and flawlessly.

VALUE FOR MONEY

This watch earns a perfect ten on ten as well when it comes to the value for money and even more if that were possible. It offers the similar functions as the watch mentioned above it but the added benefit with this one is that it works with both formal and casual looks as I have already mentioned repeatedly. The design of the watch has been kept to a minimum and yet the focus on the elegance and overall grace of the watch has not been lost as we saw in the first watch which ironically is the most expensive watch in this list.

4. TAG HEUER MEN’S WAH1111.BT0714 FORMULA 1 RUBBER STRAP WATCH ($875.00)

The TAG Heuer Men’s WAH1111.BT0714 comes with a rubber strap and I am not fond of the way this one looks. The rubber strap especially does not appeal to me a lot and that for me is the most important part in a watch apart from its dial. Anyway the TAG Heuer Men’s WAH1111.BT0714 comes with a Swiss quartz movement (meaning it is incredibly precise) with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The hands and markers are luminous the lithium carbide coated bezel is scratch resistant. The dial is actually very handsome but the crown is not very impressive. You can see the date the three. This watch too is water resistant up to a depth of 200 meters.

PROS

• Swiss Quartz movement makes sure that your watch is precise by the second; scratch-resistant; luminous hands and markers offering better visibility; shows the date; has a tachymeter and a scratch resistant bezel.

CONS

• I am not fond of the way the strap is. The price is very high for such a cheap looking watch.

VALUE FOR MONEY

I will give this particular watch a seven on the scale of value for money. If you have been reading thoroughly, you would know how seriously I take the entire look of the watch and with good reason.  If you are paying such high sums of money for some product, at least the product should look like the money was well spent. I mean to get a product so expensive and to have the product itself look cheap is not okay. The overall functionality of the watch is flawless though and if you like the watch then you can buy it absolutely no problem with that.

3. TISSOT MEN’S T0134204420100 T-TOUCH EXPERT TITANIUM ANALOG-DIGITAL WATCH ($822.50)

The first watch in this list of best watches to buy under $1,000 from Tissot is the Men’s T0134204420100. It comes with quartz movement and has a black dial. It has a brushed titanium case and a titanium band too. The watch is water resistant up to a hundred meters in depth. The problem with this watch is that only two are left so if you have your eye on one you might want to make a move soon. The sapphire is scratch-resistant as is the case with all the other watches in this list but what is unique about Tissot men’s T0134204420100 is the fact that apart from an analog view, it also gives you a digital meter for time.

This particular watch actually deserves more than ten when it comes to the value for money. This one is the clear winner. With all the other features that most of the watches in this list have to offer, this comes with the best one yet; analog and digital view. The added benefits of an LCD on this watch are numerous as you can see in the PROS bullet. There are many things this watch has to offer including a thermometer and a barometer. The LCD is backlit and the hands and markers are luminous. What more could you ask for a watch and it looks very nice too. With this money and these features, I wouldn’t think twice on this watch but get your wallets out NOW because soon there will be none left.

2. TAG HEUER MEN’S WAH1011.BT0717 FORMULA 1 GRANDE DATE WHITE DIAL WATCH ($795.00)

The TAG Heuer men’s WAH1011.BT0717 is a watch with a minimal design which in my opinion is not very good. Look at the strap; it is similar to a watch we discussed earlier and it kills the entire look of the watch which otherwise is not very good either. What the TAG Heuer Men’s WAH1011.BT0717 has to offer is a white dial with black case and strap. Furthermore, it comes with Swiss quartz movement, a stainless steel case, scratch resistant dial and the ability to withstand water for up to a depth of two hundred meters. I am here to give my own personal opinion, but you guys should know that this watch has been selling like hot cakes.

PROS

CONS

• The watch looks extremely cheap even though the build quality is fine. Again, the cheap looks could just be me.

VALUE FOR MONEY

In my opinion this watch earns a seven on the scale of value for money. If you have been reading thoroughly, you would know how seriously I take the entire look of the watch and with good reason.  If you are paying such high sums of money for some product, at least the product should look like the money was well spent. I mean to get a product so expensive and to have the product itself look cheap is not okay. The overall functionality of the watch is flawless though and if you like the watch then you can buy it absolutely no problem with that. Plus the cliched contrast of white and black just doesn’t go here.

This particular watch is actually exactly the same as the one on number ‘2’. The only difference is that instead of a leather strap it comes with a silver steel one which is much better. The TAG Heuer Men’s WAH1011.BA0854 has to offer is a white dial with black case and a silver metal strap. Furthermore, it comes with Swiss quartz movement, a stainless steel case, scratch resistant dial and the ability to withstand water for up to a depth of two hundred meters. The WAH1011.BA0854 has a super luminous dial which means that you can look at your watch in the dark for a short period of time.

PROS

• Swiss quartz movement offering precision of the highest standard; scratch resistant sapphire; water resistant; silver steel strap and a separate dial for seconds.

CONS

• There is pretty much nothing wrong with this watch except for the fact that the dial still looks very cheap and is very big or an average wrist; does not look good.

VALUE FOR MONEY

I would give this particular watch an eight on ten. The only reason I am giving this one point higher than the previous couple of TAG Heuer watches is the fact that it comes with a steel strap instead of that cheap looking strap. This one at least improves the looks by a certain amount, but the dial still looks very cheap to me. Functionality wise, this watch has nothing wrong and is perfect if you are low on budget.
