You rarely see equal height shots like this on air. If not with the sport bandages which were put on the other player, you would not recognize that they are indeed two players, and not some Siamese twin. They are indeed identical players that have same height and color of uniform since they both belong in the same team. The same wave of hands & arms looked that they were really compatible. They are not twins, but this was one of the best sport photo shots that you would see on this list.

You would be brought back to some cult movies, and other canonical scenes in the Old Testament, where people worshipped a person by putting their hands-up that suggests yearning to hold a person or thing that they worship, treating them as idols. We usually see a man asking for a girl’s adorable kiss. But this time around, a man to man saddened kiss in the field game might shock you. Though it was not intended, the photographer was able to time the moment when two opposing players bumped in the race for a goal. Because of the perfect shot, it seemed like that they’ve been kissing the whole time.

Feels like you are still on the race track, but in reality, you are having your own race on air. No wheels because it’s like an airplane? We don’t know exactly what happened after the wheels of this motorcycle went loose in mid-air. He could have gotten the winning move, if it was meant for an exhibition game on air, but it was not. A big bravo for him.

Was he trying to win the long jump competition? Was it a frog jump with the positioning of his arms and feet? Was he preparing himself to swim on the ground? Look at his face? Was it an excitement of landing to the field and not in the water? One thing is for sure; hope he was not hurt after landing off to the field, saving himself from bleeding and other facial injuries.

It was indeed a bull’s eye, because the ball was actually placed perfect on the left eye of the audience. Yes, he was not a player, but was just one of the audiences who were fancied watching baseball. He was not expecting the ball would have a different turn, and it was a kind of rotation that blew to his eyes. Whatever the reason why the ball went there, it was like a golf tournament with the ball perfectly making a hole in one, not in the golf course, but to the audience’s left eye.

3. Four Arms

Stop figuring it out if this person is an alien and almost got one of the octopus physical attributes of having few arms. In reality, he doesn’t have four arms and not even four hands. Because of the quick snapshot of the camera plus low shutter speeds, it has caught the perfect motion of arms that looked like this person was Four Arms. It’s one of the most favorite and never forgotten sport photos because of the deceptive photo that did not undergo editing from image manipulating programs. It was real as it is, and it all came from one person.

Have you seen Kobe Bryant as serious as he is in this setting? Was he upset or thinking of something that he can do to contribute to the winning streak of Lakers? Was he looking to one of the players of the other team, and would like to get even? His eyes and expression speak that he was kind of furious, and yet still control of things. Otherwise, he was just serious watching the whole game, and waiting for his turn to give some magical moves, and make a win for his team.

It has a 91,000 Pixel RGB Sensor and it shoots video at 1080p. The ISO is expanded to 204,800. The D4 features an uncompressed video recording via HDMI terminal and various new settings and feature. Just a glimpse at the price can tell you exactly what this camera might be capable off but rest assured that this is not your beginner photography camera and I am sure that it was needless to say. To all the professionals out there, this is one of the DSLRs to buy in 2012 if you are keeping tab.

PROS

• Build quality is fantastic; vertical orientation is nice; good grip; you can take photos with just one hand easily; shutter speed is fantastic; lit up controls (better view at night); face detection works good; great metering modes; amazing image quality.

CONS

• Well, like I said this is not your beginner camera. The only con I think you might find with this guy is the heavy price tag but it is reasonable.

VALUE FOR MONEY

When it comes to the value for money, Nikon never really let its customers take the fall. I would give this product a healthy 8 on 10. I am taking two points away because I think that it might be a too expensive. Though, it has all the reason to be really expensive, but still. Anyway, the camera comes with loads of great features and the picture quality  is just fantastic with thing. If you are looking to go towards professional photography then think about getting this one. You will be very pleased with the results. If you are beginner, I would definitely not recommend this product.

9. NIKON D700 12.1MP FX-FORMAT CMOS DIGITAL SLR ($2,499.99)

Next in line is another model from Nikon and this time around it is the Nikon D700. The Nikon D700 comes with a 12.1 MP FX-format CMOS sensor. It is equipped with a three inch LCD and a 920,000 dot VGA monitor. It allows you to see at a 170 degree angle. The camera is really quick with the 51-point AF system, 3D focus tracking and two live view shooting modes. The base ISO on this thing is 200-6400 but it can be expanded to range from a hundred to 25,600. The start-up speed is 0.12 seconds and the recording speeds are up to 35 megabytes per second.

PROS

• The sensor is fantastic; picture quality is fantastic; really low start up time; the ISO range is huge; recording speeds are really fast; capturing speeds are really fast and the view finder is amazing.

CONS

• In my personal experience, I have had no apparent cons with this camera and according to reviews, it has performed perfectly.

VALUE FOR MONEY

Now this is more like a camera for the beginners. I agree that I am no expert in cameras, but anybody can find flaws with something right? I have had a pretty good run with many professional and non-professional cameras and this one does its job perfectly. For that reason and the fact that I was unable to find anything wrong with this thing, I would give it a very healthy 9 on 10. It takes excellent pictures and it is not that expensive too, given what you might need it for and what it costs in regard to the features it offers. Enjoy taking pictures ladies and gentlemen.

8. PENTAX K-5 16.3 MP DIGITAL SLR ($967.69)

Now this is one company that I had never heard of until before compiling this short review. The Pentax K-5 as you already must have noticed is equipped with a 16.3 MP sensor. It offers an ISO range of 80 – 12,800. The best part is that the kit includes a lens which is 18 – 55 mm. It shoots 1080p HD video at 25 fps and Pentax K-5 comes with a 3-inch LCD with 921,000 dots. With 6 to 7 frames per seconds, you can capture fast action shots with a good result making this one of the best DSLRs to buy in 2012.

PROS

• Compare this one with other 16.3 megapixel cameras and it is quite cheap; it offers a good frame rate and a nice resolution to shoot videos; it comes with a wide ISO range and an LCD too; the picture quality is great and the build quality is sturdy.

CONS

• Problems with the LCD have been reported though my two days with this particular camera were absolutely flawless.

VALUE FOR MONEY

If you compare this camera with other high-end devices, this one is very cheap and takes as brilliant photos as you could possibly imagine. Of course it is no Nikon or Canon but the photo quality is pure bliss. Therefore, I will give it a rating of 8 on 10. This is because a Canon or Nikon might give better results in this price tag but it still might be lower in specifications. If you are still getting the hang of photography and you need to boast, you might still consider this camera. It will deliver excellent results and you will be very pleased with the performance.

7. NIKON D5100 DIGITAL SLR CAMERA & 18-55MM G VR DX AF-S & 55-300MM VR ZOOM LENS ($896.95)

Now this is exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned that a Nikon at that price bracket might still perform better. There is another Nikon D5100 discussed in this list but that one is without the secondary lens. Make a wise choice while choosing betwen these two. Anyway, this Nikon D5100 comes with a 18 – 55 mm and 55 – 300 VR Zoom lens as is quite obvious in the heading. The Nikon D5100 further boasts a 16.2 MP sensor, Built-in Flash, a three inch LCD, ISO range from 100 – 6400, HDR functionality, really fast focus speed, continuous auto focus HD video recording and many special effects. If you look at the price, that is not asking much is it? If you are considering a DSLR to buy in 2012, this should be in the top 5 easily.

• 16.2 MP sensor, Built-in Flash, a three inch LCD, ISO range from 100 – 6400, HDR functionality, really fast focus speed, continuous auto focus HD video recording; it is not very expensive; it comes with two different lenses and it takes brilliant pictures.

CONS

• There is absolutely nothing wrong with this deal. It is perfect. No con whatsoever.

VALUE FOR MONEY

When it comes to the value for money, I would want to give it a ten on ten, but for now lets settle with 9. You will get to know later in the list why this happened. Anyway, this is a fantastic choice for beginners and even semi-professional part-time photographers. It takes flawless pictures and has countless features for you to play with. You can even take this camera pro if you want to, but that of course depends on your skills and you skills totally. In my opinion, this camera totally makes up for every penny you spend on it.

6. CANON EOS REBEL T3I ($849.00)

There is actually two Canon EOS Rebel T3i discussed in this list but this one actually comes with two different lens; rest everything is the same. The Canon EOS Rebel T3i is equipped with an 18.0 MP sensor and an ISO range of 100 – 6400. It comes with a three inch LCD with 1,040,000 dots. It is compatible with the full line of Canon EF and EF-S lenses. There is a built-in flash and it shoots the HD movie at 1900 x 1080 resolution which is pretty awesome I think. There are many shooting options available for you to play with. This is one of the more fantastic DSLRs to buy in 2012 because of the package deal. It comes with two lenses; 18 – 55 mm and 55 – 250 mm lens.

PROS

• It offers an awesome sensor at 18.0 MP; a very nice ISO range; a three inch LCD; it comes with two different lenses; it is not very expensive; good HD video shooting with many shooting options; really quick focus; crisp photos and good zoom.

CONS

• I spent a week with this camera and was perfectly happy with the results. There was nothing wrong I could find.

VALUE FOR MONEY

I would give this particular camera a 9 as well. The one point I have taken away is because I think it should have been a little cheaper; take 50 or so bucks off the list price. Other than that the camera is flawless in performance and build. The picture quality is pretty good, the flash is really nice and the LCD is fantastic. You can take brilliant pictures with this thing and the best part is the lenses. Fantastic lenses from Canon. Take a stupid picture and even that would look really amazing taken on this thing.

5. PENTAX K-30 WEATHER-SEALED 16 MP CMOS DIGITAL SLR ($727.95)

This is another camera by the same company I was so ignorant of and this time around it is the Pentax K-30. If you are looking to buy this camera then you might want to hurry up because not a lot of stock is left. The Pentax K-30 comes with a 16 MP sensor and a very rugged design. It shoot videos at 1080p with h.264 compression and offers HRD finishing too. It also features a very nice three inch LCD with 921,000 dots of resolution. You will really enjoy the camera; it takes really good pictures.

PROS

• A sixteen MP sensor; three inch LCD; high definition videos; you can use it in any weather condition; really strong build; flexible exposure control; HDR options; light source censor and auto focus options.

CONS

• This camera performed flawlessly while the review was going in. There have been no complaints from the customers as well.

VALUE FOR MONEY

When it comes to the value for money, I would give this guy a perfect ten. It is not very expensive and it offers a host of features that you probably can’t get in this price. There is a lot more to a camera than its sensor and I am sure people who are into photography will understand this. If not, well, then there is loads for you to learn. You can take extremely awesome pictures with this camera and it is perfect for beginners as well. Enjoy your snaps!

4. CANON EOS REBEL T3I 18 MP ($691.00)

This is the second Canon EOS Rebel T3i that I was talking about but this one is without the lenses. The Canon EOS Rebel T3i is equipped with an 18.0 MP sensor and an ISO range of 100 – 6400. It comes with a three inch LCD with 1,040,000 dots. It is compatible with the full line of Canon EF and EF-S lenses. There is a built-in flash and it shoots the HD movie at 1900 x 1080 resolution which is pretty awesome I think. There are many shooting options available for you to play with. I think the camera mentioned above with the lens is a pretty good deal.

PROS

• It offers an awesome sensor at 18.0 MP; a very nice ISO range; a three inch LCD; it is not very expensive (but if you compare it with its counterpart I think you will agree that the package deal is better); good HD video shooting with many shooting options; really quick focus; crisp photos and good zoom.

CONS

• There is not a thing out of place with this device. No con!

VALUE FOR MONEY

I would give this particular camera an 7.5 on 10. The two or so points I have taken away is because I think it should have been a little cheaper; take 70 or so bucks off the list price. Other than that the camera is flawless in performance and build. The picture quality is pretty good, the flash is really nice and the LCD is fantastic. You can take brilliant pictures with this thing and the best part is the lenses. Fantastic lenses from Canon. Take a stupid picture and even that would look really amazing taken on this thing. Also the reason I did not give it a very high rating is I think that the package deal along with the lens is more economical.

3. NIKON D5100 16.2MP CMOS DIGITAL SLR CAMERA ($646.95)

This is the second Nikon D5100 I referred to earlier. The only difference is that the one mentioned earlier comes with an extra lens.This Nikon D5100 comes with a 18 – 55 mm and boasts a 16.2 MP sensor, Built-in Flash, a three inch LCD, ISO range from 100 – 6400, HDR functionality, really fast focus speed, continuous auto focus HD video recording and many special effects. If you look at the price, that is not asking much is it? If you are considering a DSLR to buy in 2012, this should be in the top 5 easily.

PROS

• 16.2 MP sensor, Built-in Flash, a three inch LCD, ISO range from 100 – 6400, HDR functionality, really fast focus speed, continuous auto focus HD video recording; it is not very expensive; and it takes brilliant pictures.

CONS

• There is absolutely nothing wrong with this deal. It is perfect. No con whatsoever except the fact that a lens is missing (consider the Nikon mentioned earlier).

VALUE FOR MONEY

2. NIKON D3100 14.2MP DIGITAL SLR CAMERA ($496.95)

I think we can all agree that Nikon has pretty much dominated this list and that was obviously expected. This time around it is the Nikon D3100 that takes the spot. The Nikon D3100 comes with a 14.2 MP DX-format CMOS sensor and a three inch monitor. It is equipped with a 18 – 55 mm lens and shoots HD videos at 1080p with continuous auto-focus and sound. It takes amazing pictures and is very light on the pocket as well.

PROS

• Very light on the pocket; amazing sensor; takes really nice pictures; comes with a lens; shoots HD videos with continuous auto-focus and sound; really easy to use; perfect for beginners.

CONS

• The build quality is not very strong so make sure whatever you do, do NOT let it fall.

VALUE FOR MONEY

This is fantastic deal. Of course if  most of your income comes from your photography and photographic skills then this is not the camera for you but if you are looking for random pictures and capturing amazing moments with brilliance and sheer quality then you are looking at the right model and right deal. As for the value for money, I would give this product a 9. I still think it should be cheaper but that’s just me. It works flawlessly and my week of playing with it did not give rise to any problems or troubles. Besides, Nikon has excellent customer service.

1. CANON EOS REBEL T3 DIGITAL SLR ($485.00)

The top product (price wise) to be in the list of DSLRs to buy in 2012 is the Canon EOS Rebel T3. It is equipped with a 12.2 MP sensor which offers superior image quality and speed. It has an ISO range of 100 – 6400 and can shoot well in the dark as well. It can shoot good HD movie with loads of in-camera editing options. If you are a beginner, this is very suitable for your use.

PROS

• 12.2 Mp sensor; superior image quality; able to take pictures really fast; okay ISO range; high definition movie shooting and in-camera movie editing options.

CONS

• There have been reports of receiving a defected lens. Please check everything as soon as you receive your product.

VALUE FOR MONEY

If you compare this guy with the camera mentioned at number two, I think you will understand when I give it a 7 on 10 when it comes to the value for money. Besides, reports of defective lenses only mean that you are going to have to spend money to send the camera here and there for repairs. But that of course is rare case. This is a good camera for beginners and better than those rolling around in the market (the smart, tiny cameras).

10. The first tip is regarding the pets and little children. When you happen to take a picture of any object which is small in height, then bend down to their level first so that you are holding the camera at their eye level. In this way a better picture can be taken of small objects.

9. When ever you are ready to take the picture of your subject, make it sure that you have taken into consideration the background also. A complex or abstract background will make the image of your subject blur and unable to be detected by the eye. It is advisable to use a plain background while taking photo because in this manner there will be more emphasize on the subject and the image will be visible.

8. Here I would avail the opportunity to clear a misunderstanding of most of you. We often think that flash of the camera is not required while we are taking snaps outside in the sun. This is actually a wrong perception because even under the sun there appear dark shadows under our eyes and nose or if the sun is directly behind us. To avoid this situation, we must use the flash of the camera to brighten up these shadows and dark areas and distinguish our subject well enough from the background.

7. The beauty of the picture lies in the fact that how much closer you are to the subject. The closer the subject to the camera, the better the picture is. The question arises HOW ?. The answer to this is very simple because by closing in on the subject you actually eliminate the unnecessary or less attractive background from the picture and the whole focus is on the subject. Moreover, the image of the subject is more detailed and precise. For a closer picture, you can make use of the “flower” mode in the camera or you can just simple zoom in and it will serve the purpose for you.

6. You can apply same rule to every situation as it is advisable to eat good in the morning while on the contrary, it is suggested to eat less at night to avoid stomach-ache or acidity problems. Similarly, not all the subjects look mesmerizing in a horizontal picture. For some pictures, you may find it more pleasing and attractive to take a vertical picture. It depends on the structure and form of the subject primarily,. For example, Eiffel Tower or Minar-e-Pakistan will look better in a vertical picture and not in the horizontal picture. Oops ! just imagine a horizontal picture of The Eiffel Tower. It will look more like a bridge then a tower.

5. Dont loose the focus of the subject while taking the picture. For this, hold the shutter button half-way down and the camera will automatically adjust the image for a better focus. After you think that the image is sufficiently focused and you are all set to take the picture, then press the shutter button all the way down. If you have a beauty-conscious girl friend, then it is always good to take a non-focused picture. Can you guess why?. Let me tell you guys, because it is better to rely on the statement that baby you were looking gorgeous but the picture is not focused, then to take a bundle of pictures of her to make her satisfied on a bright sunny day and sweat all the day long. KEEP IT A SECRET !

4. You must always know about the range of the flash of your camera because if the subject is out of the range of the flash, than a dark picture will be formed. Usually the range is of ten feet or four steps away from the camera but it depends on camera to camera. For that purpose, please check your manual guide.

3. The effect of the sunlight should not be ignored while taking a picture. You must study the effects of the light in order to take a good picture of the subject. In the case of people, be careful that the subject is not standing in a way so as dark shadows are falling on the face. It will not make the picture look good.

2. In order to take a good picture, you should act more than just a picture-taker. You must try and act as picture director and give instructions to your subject to re-arrange themselves so that they look better in the camera view-finder. You must consider different viewpoints to take a picture because it will improve the overall perception of your image dramatically.

1. The most basic but the most important tip in taking a good picture is that you should practice on holding your camera still while taking picture. If, by any chance, you happen to shake your camera during the time you are pressing the shutter button, than a blur or vague picture will be taken. It will be hardly recognized by anybody.
