Craigslist.com is a very popular website that has lots of classified advertisements on it. You can find anything from personals to housing and of course a job. Some of the advertisements on the site are real and genuine. Other advertisements might be fake or a scam. It’s always best to use caution when you’re looking for something. Other advertisements might just be downright funny or weird. If you’re tired of a 9 to 5 job and might be looking for something different or unusual to do then maybe these 10 Weird Jobs Listed On Craigslist might give you an idea as to what all you can find. I would love to provide links to these jobs but these particular job offers have expired or the person has removed them from Craigslist.

10 Weird Jobs Listed On Craigslist

10. Wanted: Back Scratcher
If you don’t want to buy a cheap back scratcher from Wal-Mart or the dollar store, you might want to hire someone to do it for you. Having a job as a back scratcher might sound easy enough but be careful. You never know when you might accidently hit that ache in a person’s back and cause them pain. Worst yet, you also don’t know when the person might have bathed last and what smelly condition their back might be in.

9. Wanted: Foot Bather
I shudder just at the thought of bathing someone else’s foot. I know that some people don’t mind it at all and it’s even mentioned in the Bible but this is a job that I will pass on. If you’ve done manicure’s and pedicures before then this type of job might not bother you as much. Each time I cleaned their feet I would have to make sure that I had a mask on and gloves.

8. Wanted: Fun Texter
Now, this seems like a cool job. I love to text and I wouldn’t mind at all texting for fun and getting paid for it. I think it all comes down to what kind of texting do they think is fun. Another thing to think about is what time do they actually expect you to text. Do they want you to text 24/7 and do they only want you to text just them or other people for them? It sounds cool at first but there are many questions to ask before considering this job.

7. Wanted: Salesperson for Used Socks
I am sure that some people buy used socks but personally, I am not one of them. I’m sure the socks would be fine if you cleaned them really good with your personal laundry soap a few times. It could be a way to save some money on name brand socks. However, I am just lazy. I’ll buy the new socks please. More power to you if you can handle used socks and might not care about the history behind them and even more power to you if you can sale them.

6. Wanted: Litter Box Cleaner
After having four cats I would have to say this is another job that I would pass on. What was startling is you would think that you would get paid for this job but you don’t. Instead of receiving cash what you would get instead would be an unlimited amount of pancakes. If you’re really hungry then this might be just the job for you.

5. Wanted: Part Time Tree Climber
If you’re not afraid of climbing up trees and cutting the branches then this might be perfect for you. One of the bonuses is that you actually can work during your own schedule and hours. The part time tree climber job could end up turning into a real full time job. This might also be a great way to stay into shape and work on those muscles.

4. Wanted: Fake Office Worker
This is not an April fool’s Day joke. One agency laid off several of their employees. However, in order to try and keep their appearance up and going when certain clients would come in the office they hired fake office workers. All they had to do was just look busy at the desk and act like they knew exactly what they were doing. The amazing thing is about this job is that they paid $15 an hour for being a fake office worker.

3. Wanted: Mermaid for a Birthday Party
If you love mermaids or might not mind dressing up as one for a birthday party then you missed out on a great chance to have some fun with this job. Some women were looking for a mermaid at a July party and they actually paid $150 for at least three hours. If needed the costume could be provided but there was just one downfall with this job. You must be willing to dress up as a topless mermaid.

2. Wanted: Beard Mentor
If you’re tired of your beard looking horrible or need some advice for your beard then you might want to consider hiring a beard mentor. If you know everything there is to know about your beard and proud of it then you might consider becoming a beard mentor. The only downfall with this job is that they want you to have pictures of your beard achievements to ensure that you’ve had the required pro experience needed.

1. Wanted: Little Person To Scare Roommates
A person was looking for a little person to scare their roommates. My question is this. Why must the person be little in order to scare their roommates? All you need to simply do is just buy a scary mask and crawl on the ground and scare them. A mask isn’t very expensive either and it’s a great way to save money instead of actually hiring someone else to scare them.
