10. Pears – so mouth watering during fall

There’s nothing like coming home on a crispy fall day and enjoying a nice ripe juicy pear. Pears can be filled with a special sweetness that is mouthwatering and they taste so fresh. This is one of those examples to where this scent can be enjoyed throughout the year but fall just makes pears very nice. Fall is a great time to also buy pears because they start to sale right at the very beginning of the season in a lot of farmer’s markets.

9. Caramel Popcorn – a romantic movie and caramel popcorn on a fall night – perfect evening!

I love the smell of caramel in the fall but what I like best is having caramel popcorn. Caramel popcorn is a mixture of sweet plus salty. During the fall I enjoy watching a nice romantic movie and having some caramel popcorn at the same time. Some bags of caramel popcorn have peanuts in them and I always tend to grab those bags that have peanuts in them because peanuts in caramel popcorn just make it perfect for me.

8. Banana Nut Bread – on a crispy fall day this is so good.

Here is another one of my all time favorites in the fall. I think I enjoy having this so much during the fall because not only does it smell good but it’s nice and warm. I always have a slice of banana nut bread right when it comes out of the oven after it has cooled down for a few seconds. Another thing I enjoy doing is putting butter on it. I seem to only have this around the fall time mostly. I don’t know why but to me it just doesn’t seem right to have it during the summer.

7. Candy Corn – perfect fall snack

I think that Halloween causes candy corn to become a favorite scent for fall. I actually really enjoy candles that smell like candy corn. I think that we just start eating it around Halloween then it just drifts over into fall and then eventually we put it down when winter time comes. My favorite brand of candy corn comes from Brach’s. They use honey and I think that’s why I enjoy there’s so much.

I think that cornbread is another mainly southern tradition to have a lot of during fall but more so at Thanksgiving. Cornbread just goes great with soups or with almost any kind of warm meal. Sometimes cornbread makes for a great snack during the middle of a fall day when it’s kind of chilly out and you need something warm.

Cinnamon is extremely popular during fall. It’s sprinkled on top of a variety of desserts such as apple pie. I also love cinnamon French toast. A sprinkle of cinnamon on top of applesauce even makes applesauce taste great. If you’ve never had apple cinnamon coffee cake muffins then you’re missing out on a treat. Cinnamon can even be sprinkled on top of some drinks. You can do so many things with cinnamon. No wonder this is one of the most popular smells during fall.
